New look. Same roots. A painted beaver swimming in a mountain river

The brief

RVRS makes solventless hash and flower in Colorado. The product was respected; the brand was a label. Prettier packaging alone would have put it on the same shelf as every multi-state operator pretending to be craft.

The brief was a rebrand with a soul: a name and mark rebuilt around "rare value, rich selection", a world the animals could live in, and programs that reward participation instead of discounts.

The work

  1. 01

    The mark

Dripping rosin letters over a mountain river, the original RVRS mark is the one piece of the old brand worth keeping. We kept it, cleaned it up and made it the anchor everything else had to live beside.

    The North Star

"Colorado's nature-rooted solventless and flower brand, built here, inspired by here, giving back here." Not corporate cannabis, not fake craft theatre, not an MSO in disguise. Every decision after this line had to ladder up to it.

    A world, not a label

We hired a local Colorado artist whose hand matched the brand's aesthetic. Roobie the bear, Rollie the frog and Woodie the beaver each anchor a product family and a conservation story RVRS can give back to.

  4. 04

    Rare value, rich selection

Product photography that treats live rosin like the premium thing it is: the jars, the dab, the strain name doing the talking. Shot to work on a sales sheet, a menu, a story post and a dispensary screen without a redesign.

  5. 05

    Strain by strain

A repeatable format for every drop: the strain name stacked large, the product in sharp focus, the mark small in the corner. Super Buff Cherry, Cherry Pie OG, Cadillac Rainbow; each new release slots straight in.

    On the shelf

Mylar bags, jars, pre-roll tubes, all-in-one vapes and the launch sheets that sell them into stores, rebuilt as one packaging system so the shelf reads as one brand.

    Programs that reward showing up

River Rocks Rewards (buy, scan, check in, return, unlock), the RVRS Crew budtender program and small, real Colorado partnerships. Loyalty tied to participation, not purchase volume.

How AI helped

AI let us explore dozens of naming, mark and world directions in days, then get out of the way. The final characters were painted by a human artist chosen to match the aesthetic those explorations pointed to.

The result

A night-and-day transformation: from label refresh to a brand world with characters, packaging, photography, programs and a 90-day rollout (Foundation, Activation, Proof).

Outcome numbers will be published here once RVRS approves them.
